Located in Southern California, Boatman has been an architectural design consultant on select residential remodeling projects in San Diego, CA, and Grand Rapids, MI. Recent design project management work includes a private school (K-12) campus in Cairo, a multi-use, mid-rise urban-infill project in Cairo, offices and sales centers in Istanbul and Cairo, luxury resort condominiums on the Mediterranean coast of Egypt, hospitality design including a private yacht-club, and four and five-star hotels in planned developments in the Middle East.


ABOUT
With diverse clientele and projects from Southern California to the Middle East, R. Lyle Boatman has planning and development experience, extensive construction and project management skills, and outstanding architectural consultation and interior design expertise. His award-winning designs have been presented in well-known publications including Architectural Digest, Better Homes and Gardens, Country's Best Log Homes, Metropolitan Home, and Veranda. Lyle is an NCIDQ qualified (#012073) ASID Professional Member and a Student Member of AIA.

As a team player, Lyle is well suited to large-scale remodeling projects and design for new construction. He brings a broad range of experience in design, custom cabinetry and furnishings, and construction systems. Lyle says, "Of all the creative tools of the designer, the most valuable are those which create a shared set of expectations about the process and the outcomes."

Lyle has studied interior-design and architecture in the Paracollege at St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN and at the University of Minnesota. Currently on the Dean's List at NewSchool of Architecture & Design in San Diego, Lyle is in the Bachelor of Architecture program; class of 2012. Thesis ambitions include considerations for developing sustainability through shared uses of built space and studies of increasing residential density in existing suburban developments.
